Dear Parents,

 

Well, February has arrived! Here are some updates and reminders for this month:

Sunday, February 2nd is Groundhog’s Day.  Students will learn about this tradition so be sure to discuss it at home this weekend!

 

Wednesday, February 5th is the Mid Point of the Trimester. 

The Reading Pep Rally will be held on Friday, February 7th for all students. The students have read nearly 4,000 books as of December!!! Great job students!  Let’s keep up the good work and reach our goal.  It will also be School Spirit Day so be sure to wear your blue and white.

 

Progress Reports are going out Friday, February 7th.

 

There will be a PTO meeting at Olivet School on Tuesday, February 11th at 6:30 pm.  As always, parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

 

Valentine’s Day will be celebrated on Thursday, February 13th.  Be on the look out for more information from your child’s teacher regarding any information or activities.

 

Class Pictures will be taken on Thursday, February 13th.  Smile pretty!

 

There will be NO SCHOOL on the Friday, February 14th and Monday, February 17th in observance of President’s Weekend.  Enjoy the long weekend!

 

Thursday, February 20th will be the next Pittsgrove School District Board Meeting.  The meeting will be held in the Schalick Media Center beginning at 6:30 pm.

 

The 100th Day of School will be celebrated on Friday, February 21st.  There will be many activities pertaining to the number 100 on this special day.

 

Monday, February 24th will be another Pittsgrove School District Board Meeting.  The meeting will be held in the Schalick Media Center beginning at 6:30 pm.

 

Reading Logs will be due on Friday, February 28th.

 

Please remember to have your current telephone information of file with the office.  As you all know, with cold weather comes the potential for snow, sleet, and freezing rain.  It’s important that we are able to contact you should school be cancelled or close early.  If you need to update any information, please contact the Norma School office as soon as possible.
