Dear Parents,

It’s hard to believe that March is already upon us and here’s to hoping we don’t have anymore “snow experiences”.  We have many fun activities planned throughout the month for the students.  Be sure to check the calendar so that your child can participate in these fun events.  Here are the activities and important dates for the upcoming month.

Monday, March 3rd is Read Across America Day and the kick off to our Dr. Seuss activity week.  This day is celebrated in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  There will be activities in the classroom all week and the students are going to love it!

Spring Fling Photos will be taken on Tuesday, March 4th. Notices have already gone home and you only need to respond if you DO NOT want to have your child photographed.  All students will be photographed and you will receive more information from Bassetti Photo at a later time on how to purchase photos if you choose.

Class Pictures were rescheduled due to the snow and will be held on Wednesday, March 5th.

The PTMS Book Tasting Event will be held on Thursday, March 6th. More information will be coming home soon.

We will be holding our Reading Pep Rally and School Spirit Day on Friday, March 7th.  Don’t forget to wear your blue and white for the activities!

Sunday, March 9th is Daylight Savings Time.  Don’t forget to Spring Forward.

Tuesday, March 11th is also a PTO meeting night at Olivet School beginning at 6:30.  Parents are always encouraged and invited to attend.

March 17th is St. Patrick’s Day.  May the Luck ‘O The Irish be with you. We will also be having Dental Assemblies for both pre-school and kindergarten students. Be sure to ask your children about what they learned!

The end of the second trimester, pending no more snow events, is scheduled for March 26th.

There are Board of Education meetings on March 20th and on March 24th both at 6:30 p.m. in the AP Schalick High School Media Center.

Monday, March 24th is Market Day Pick Up.  Be sure to pick up your purchases at Olivet School.

Our Norma Book Fair begins on Monday, March 31st! Be on the lookout for a schedule coming home when your child’s class can come and buy books! Don’t forget to turn in your Reading Logs on Monday, March 31st.
