Dear Parents,

As many of you know, November is a very busy month!  There will be a lot going on this month so please keep your calendar handy!  Please note that there are school closings and early dismissals this month.  If you do not have an early dismissal calendar, please be sure to ask your child’s teacher or Mrs. Penn for a new one.  Here are some things to keep in mind for the month of November…

Friday, November 2nd, Norma School will be kicking off its Reading Incentive Program!  There will be a Pep Rally for all students. Since it is also School Spirit Day, please be sure that your child wears his or her blue and white for the occasion!  More information regarding the reading incentive program will be coming in a separate notice.

Sunday, November 4this Daylight Savings Time.  Please be sure to set your clocks back 1 hour.

November 6th is Election Day…Don’t forget to vote!

There will be NO SCHOOL on Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th due to the NJEA Convention

Schools will also be CLOSED on Monday, November 12th in observance of Veteran’s Day.  Schools will reopen at normal time on Tuesday, November 13th.

Bassetti Photo Retakes will be done on Wednesday, November 14th. If your child did not have his or her photo taken and you wish to purchase photos, please be sure to send in the information envelope and moneyNo money will be collected at Norma School after the photos have been completed. 

There will be a Board Meeting at Schalick HighSchool on Thursday, November 15thbeginning at 7 pm.  All are welcomed to attend.

November 12th through the 16th is American Education Week.  Parents are invited to attend school on Thursday, November 15th from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. or on Friday, November 16th from 9:30– 10:30 a.m.  Please look for more information coming soon in your child’s take home folder.

The Fall Fundraiser pick up will take place on Monday, November 19that Olivet School.  Don’t forget to pick up your items!

There will be a Thanksgiving Feast for all Norma students on Wednesday, November 21st.  Please look for more information coming soon in your child’s folder or contact Norma School if you have any questions. 

Wednesday, November 21st is also an Early Dismissal.  Please be sure that you have the early dismissal schedule and that you are there to meet the bus when your child gets home.

School will be CLOSED on Thursday and Friday, November 22nd and 23rd in observance of Thanksgiving.  School will reopen on Monday, November 26th.
