PRESCHOOL EXPANSION UPDA

Pittsgrove Township School District Awarded $1.9 Million for
Preschool Grant

On the morning of September 20, 2018, the Pittsgrove Township Preschool  Program celebrated receiving additional funding, $1,558,486.00, through the Preschool Education Expansion Aid (PEEA) grant for the 2018-2019 school year. This is the second year we are receiving the grant. The grant has allowed us to continue providing early childhood education to three and four year old children. The district is continuing its partnership with Building Blocks Learning Center, a private provider in Pittsgrove.

This year we were also able to receive an additional $396, 452.00 which has allowed us to partner with another private provider in our community, Firm Foundations, located within the town of Elmer. This funding has afforded us the opportunity to serve more preschool children. Two additional full time preschool classrooms have been added.

Pittsgrove Township Schools received notification  on August 31, 2018 of the approval of the PEEA grant with an additional $396,452.00. The two additional classrooms began the program on Thursday, September 6, 2018.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Darren Harris, Business Administrator, Mr. Daniel Bruce, Norma Principal, Ms. Loretta Elwell, Norma Assistant Principal and many others for their countless hours and dedication to this wonderful endeavor.

Parents and/or guardians interested in our Preschool Program should call Norma Elementary School at (856) 358-6904, ext. 4731.
